The New Hampshire IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (NH‑INBRE) invites RSTG-supported faculty at the NH-INBRE Partner institutions to apply for conference travel support through the Research Student Training Grant (RSTG). This funding opportunity supports faculty participation in professional conferences that advance NH‑INBRE’s mission of strengthening biomedical research capacity and student training.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be engaged in or supporting NH‑INBRE‑related research, mentoring, or student training activities at an NH-INBRE Partner institution.

• Seek funding for conference attendance that aligns with NH‑INBRE and NIH programmatic goals

Allowable Expenses

Subject to approval and fund availability, allowable expenses may include:

• Conference registration fees

• Airfare and ground transportation

• Lodging

• Meals and incidental expenses, consistent with institutional and NIH travel policies

Application Components

Applications submitted through Piestar must include the following information:

  • Conference name, location, and dates
  • Name(s) of faculty and students covered under this request
  • Description of the conference attendees role (e.g., presenter, mentor, attendee)
  • Relevance of the conference to NH‑INBRE goals and RSTG activities
  • Estimated travel budget, including allowable expenses
  • Identification of any additional funding sources, if applicable

Submission Timeline

• Applications must be submitted in advance of the conference and prior to incurring any travel expenses.

• Late or retroactive requests will not be considered.
